Everyone has a nickname. Gosh I don't think I know anyone who doesn't. I have had a few in my life some good, some not so good. So I will share the good, only becuase the real boring ones would just make you laugh way too hysterically and then that would hurt my feelings. He he he...
1. Minnie - I have had this nickname forever. Infact it is more my name than Emily is. It all came about when I was little and my little sisters first learning how to say my name couldn't and ended up saying Emmimee instead. Well I think that my Mother felt so bad for them that she just said, "Call her Minnie," so it stuck. I love it.
2. Em - Another nickname that has stuck but that I least like. I love my name so to abbreviate it in such a way just seams shameful. "Em." There is just nothing to it.
3. Emma - as I am affectionately called by my coworker Jackie. She loves me and probably thinks of me as one of her grandchildren. Well an older one anyway. Emma is much better than Em but still lacks the ring of Emily. I'm kind of lost here. But I can't help smiling when she says it.
4. Emmy - now this is much better. Actually to tell you the truth, if I wasn't called Emily I would definitely side with Emmy. It is adorable and still makes me feel like I am a person.
5. Emerson - Now this is ingenious. I thought of it myself. Thank you very much. It is a combination of my first and last name. My last name which I can't tell you (sorry :) ) is not Merson or Erson just so you know. That would be just too terrible. Sorry to any Merson or Erson's out there.
Well that is enough for now. You can only handle so much! :)
