HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Oh my gosh! I literally thought that my face was going to freeze and fall off this morning while I walked into work. You see, my work is located on top of a hill, a very large hill in fact that looks over lovely but very frozen Lake Superior. The wind which is what I am referring to, was blowing right off that big lake and into my face. My ears, eyes, nose - well, gosh everthing was just burning cold. I really don't know how the little critters out there do it. I just keep on thinking of them wrapped up in their lovely little furries, thick and soft (like a muff from Dr. Zhivago) sleeping away the bitter days in bliss. Gosh what lucky little stinkers! Any how, I spent most of yesterday outside in Hartley Field snowshoeing with my sister Laura (aka, Bubblegum) and dreaming about our new year. It was sooo cold though. The front of my legs were so cold from the constant wind that they went numb. Probably shouldn't have done that. But we did get some fantastic pictures which I hope my sister will e-mail me today, along with some outrageously puffed cat tails. They were soo puffy and hysterical. They looked like big cotton tail bunny footies. You would have loved them. Well I will post later with the pics.
