Favorite Thing Today: Entertaining

I love entertaining, and living in Duluth offers a lot of great resources, that is if you have an imagination for creativity. For flowers a wonderful place to go is Bella Flora down on First Street. They have a wonderful assortment of unique and timeless arrangements for anyones taste. An excellent place to go for entertaining fare is to head on over to DeWitt Seitz Market Place in Canal Park where you will find the Blue Heron Trading Co. Inc. The Blue Heron has some wonderful retro inspired items (recently: oil clothe tableclothes in a yummy strawberry print, tea pots and utensils, and very hard to find goods, etc.). They also offer one of a kind cooking classes that are to literally die for, teaching you how to use area produce like woodland truffles for hearty stews, Parisian inspired chocolates and much more. After you have finished with your shoppping (you will most likely be starving) you can head over to Sir Benedict's Tavern for a really wonderful soup and sandwhich. Than for your sweet fix walk back uptown to Torke. It is a German inspired cafe, chocolate confection, and Christmas ornament mine! I will be including more fascinating and worthwhile trips soon.
