{In Love with: Gingerbread Homes}

I love gingerbread homes. There is nothing quite like them. They remind me of reading Laura Ingalls in the Big Woods novel when I was a little girl and envisioning myself in the small log cabin in the big woods of Wisconsin. What it must have been like to create candy by pouring hot maple syrup in the snow, eating little sugared heart shaped shortbread cookies, candy canes, and seeing mama press out glistening rounds of pressed butter for a fancy Christmas dinner. My heart yearns for such simplicity and family love like that. I wish everyone could have that. That is my hearts desire for everyone. That everyone could have a family to belong too. Especially during Christmas. I hope you have one to cling to. If you don't, consider me your family. I would love to family-ize you!
