I love the film Dr. Zhivago. In fact, I think that it is my most favorite film of all time. They have come out with a few newer versions since the 1965 version with Julie Christie and Omar Sharif. I found this lovely photo of a tulip field and it reminded me of the young Yury safe in the Ural Mountains of Russia, hiding with his family from the rebels. I think of the scene where spring is blossoming all around him and all he can think of is Lara, sweet Lara. Oh the film is so timeless. You really have to rent it if you haven't. The paperback is just as good but I found it to have lost much of the charm that is in the film.
