Thanksgiving Celebration Table

I have been thinking of creative ways to make place cards for our family's Thanksgiving table. This star anise pod place holder is an idea from Martha Stewart Living. Great idea. I love the rusticness of it with the satin ribbon and then again rustic cream paper with the name written with a quill-like pen. My only dilema at this time is that I don't really know where to get the pods (maybe at the Whole Foods Co-op?) that and they will probably be expensive and with Christmas right around the cornerI have been trying to save up for some nicer presents for everyone this year. Hmmmm. This is where I am going to have to be creative. Oh I know! Potpourri bags sometimes have whole anise pods in them. I think I will check there. Good idea Em!
