So this past Sunday me and my sister Laura set up our Christmas tree. Gosh what an ordeal. So we drag the huge thing up the stairs (it is fake. Okay I know that is horrible but the smell of fresh pine needles gives my little sister migraines). So any way... As I was dragging this seven footer up the basement stairs, my middle sister Laura was trailing behind with all the other boughs that happened to not be so fortunate. After I finally got it assembled in the front room I started spreading out all of the bent branches and straightening them. Between Laura and I it took us about an hour to get it all figured out. Next came the lights. Sure no problem. Wrong! Apparently we don't have lights. Gosh were we both bumbed. We had Nat King Cole singing all the pastime Christmas songs and here we had just an enormous green blob in the front room. Not very attractive. So long story short, we got the lights on Tuesday, finished with another set of filler lights on Wednesday. After all of the lights are on, on goes the lovely gold and burgundy balls, the matching garland, and of course the finishing touch, the candy canes - compliments of Ashley. Let's just say it was quite the ordeal. But well worth the wait and energy.
