This lovely Tin Can Centerpiece is from Martha Stewart's wedding section of her website. All of these flowers flourish well in Duluth (Daisies, Queen Annes Lace, Asters, and Anemones) and the country tin can idea is simply charming. Being that many vintage tins are not capable of storing water in them, Martha suggests that you first line the inside of the tin with a plastic sandwhich bag in order to eliminate any leaks. You can find vintage tin or tea tin cans from your local antique shop. "Father Time Antiques" is a quaint little antique shop that we have in Canal Park. I plan on going there to find some lovely old tins to showcase summer's flourishing bounty.
